Even if you are not a true blue ‘potter head,’ you are sure to come across some Harry Potter references once in a while. J.K. Rowling introduced us to the beautiful world of magic spells in 1997 when the first book in the Harry Potter series was released. The movie adaptation helped reach out to a wider audience and created a cult-like fandom known as the ‘Potter Heads.’
We need no occasion for a Harry Potter movie marathon. But if you are new to this world of magic spells and wizards, it can be a bit overwhelming to even get started. We have listed the Harry Potter movies in order so you can get an easy entry to the prestigious ‘Potter Head’ club.
How to Enjoy the Harry Potter Movies in Order?
You can enjoy the Harry Potter series in two orders: by release date or by the timeline of the story. The first movie, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone was released in 2001 and introduced Harry, Hermoine, and Ron, but other characters like Dumbledore, Grindelwald, and Scamander existed before this timeline. Their story was introduced to the audience much later in the Fantastic Beast movie series.
Sure, the movies are fun, and we can never get enough of the magical world but have you ever thought about how it would feel to be a part of it? Warner Bros launched Hogwarts Legacy, an open-world immersive game that lets you dive into the world of witchcraft and wizards. The game is developed by Avalanche Software and provides users with the option of personalization for their characters; from looks to voice to gender, you get to choose everything.
Just like in the movie, the player has to clear levels to access magic spells and upgrade their abilities. The game is currently available for PS5, PS4, Windows, X XS/S, and Xbox One. The game will be available for Nintendo Switch users from 14 November this year.
If the game and the movies have got you excited, get ready to experience euphoria as we introduce you to the world of Broadway musicals. Ok, you might know what Broadway Musical is, but did you know about Harry Potter & the Cursed Child? The play is written by Jack Thorne and is set in the future, where Harry’s son Albus befriends Malfoy’s son. The magic created on stage is nothing like what you have seen on screen. It will take your breath away (in a good way) and will have you wondering for days as it tears down the wall between fantasy and reality.
