The Hunger Games franchise has seen massive success among young adults, thanks to the unique storyline by Suzanne Collins, the author of all Hunger Games novels. The Hunger Games (2012)
The 2012 release, The Hunger Games, took the world by storm. The movie introduced us to the addictive world of Panem, a post-apocalyptic nation that consists of 12 districts. Two people between the age of 12 and 18 are chosen each year from each of the districts to take part in the deadly game called the Hunger Games. The winning district is rewarded with food supplies and riches as they all are made to suffer in poverty.
Sixteen-year-old Katniss Everdeen, played by Jennifer Lawrence, from District 12 volunteers herself for the game when her 12-year-old sister is selected by lottery. Katniss along with her Peeta Mellark, played by Josh Hutcherson, is selected to take part in the games. The movie also starred Liam Hemsworth as Gale Hawthorne. Do they have in them what it takes to win the brutal game of survival?

The Hunger Games: Catching Fire (2013)
The much-awaited second installment of the Hunger Games movies was released in 2013 and was a box-office hit. The movie had more screentime for Liam Hemsworth‘s character of Gale Hawthorne, the love interest of Katniss. Hunger Games is one of the most loved movies of Liam Hemsworth.
After winning the Hunger Games, everything is not the same for Katniss. Her friend Peeta has completely turned his back on her and Gale is not talking to her. Before she can sort everything out with her loved ones, she is visited by President Snow. Peeta and Katniss are once again required to take part in the game as for the first time the Capitol has decided to bring back all the previous winners and make them fight against each other.

The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1 (2014)
The Hunger Games Mockingjay is a single novel but the movie adaptation split it into two parts due to the complex storyline and events. The 2014 release saw Katniss struggling to connect with her loved ones after spending harsh time in the underground world of District 13.
Katniss makes the decision of teaming up with the Rebellion to take down the Capitol. But her dear friend, Peeta is not with her as he is held captive by the Capitol with the intention of using him against Katniss. Rebellion’s president, Coin, tries to convince her to be the Mockingjay to rewrite the future of Panem no matter the cost.

The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2 (2015)
This is the fourth part in the list of Hunger Games movies in order which is technically part of the third released novel. The movie is currently the last released Hunger Games movie. The plot starts with Katniss being reunited with her family and loved ones in District 12. But when she learns that Peeta is held captive and is tortured, she decides to join hands with the elite group of fighters in District 13.
The group decides to assassinate President Snow to put an end to the torture but fails. The group reluctantly tries to bring back Peeta in their propaganda videos. This can either be the best decision till now or will cost them their lives.

The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes (2023)
The upcoming movie The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes is a prequel story and will focus on the early life of Coriolanus Snow. Those who are dedicated readers will know what happens in the story but for those waiting for the movie, we have no intention of giving out spoilers!
The last in the Hunger Games movies in order is set to release on 17 November 2023. The book by Suzanne Collins was launched during the COVID-19 pandemic and shows you the softer side of President Snow during his younger year.
