Winnie the Pooh Blood and Honey

With the horror genre taking over the world of cinema, filmmakers have been experimenting a lot to stand out in the game. But when our cutesy talking teddy bear Winnie the Pooh was introduced as a wicked and gruesome character in Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey, in all honesty, I wasn’t prepared. I was not the only one though. The audience had a mixed reaction to the movie as it portrays a beloved childhood character in a dark light.

The full-on slasher movie, Winnie the Pooh did not leave any scope for us to remember the adorable bear with a red t-shirt who is always hungry for honey and loves to play with his friends in the 100-acre wood.

Winnie the Pooh Movie Plot

If you have watched the 2018 release, Christopher Robin, this is the polar opposite of how Pooh and his friends were portrayed in the absence of Christopher. We have already mentioned the base story of Winnie the Pooh movie.

The plot begins when Christopher Robin leaves Pooh and his friends for a long time for his college.

The friends struggle to survive on their own in the 100 Acre Wood. When anger and desperation take over Pooh and Piglet they murder Eeyore and that is just the beginning of the streak of murders that the duo commences.

On his return, Christopher is heartbroken to see that his merry land has turned into a haunted land with proof of bloodshed and violence everywhere. Let us warn you once again, the movie will change your whole perspective of the bear you all have adored since childhood.

Is There Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey 2 Coming?

With the movie becoming the talk of the town, makers were quick to announce a Winnie the Pooh Blood and Honey 2 even before the release of the first part.

The box office success of Winnie the Pooh Movie has only made the speculations stronger.

Though the audience was not quite impressed with the movie and did not like the changed avatar of Winnie the Pooh, the movie did earn a reputation for being one of the most successful slasher movies.

We will have to wait and see if the movie becomes a trendsetter in the horror genre and if we get to see more of such iconic childhood characters in a hard-to-digest polar opposite avatar.
